Voting
Votes are recorded per agenda item, per body member — the official record of how each member voted.
Vote Values
| Value | Label |
|---|---|
aye | Aye (Yes) |
nay | Nay (No) |
abstain | Abstain |
absent | Absent |
recused | Recused |
How Votes Work
- Recorded by Admin or Super Admin, typically during or right after a meeting
- One vote per member per item — re-recording updates the existing entry
- Tied to body-member names, not user accounts
Public Visibility
Vote tallies are part of the meeting record, which isn't public by default. They appear publicly only once two things happen: (1) an admin turns on public meeting records for the org, and (2) the clerk publishes that meeting's record — attendance, votes, and minutes all go public together. See Meetings.
Tip
Once the record is published, vote tallies appear next to each item on the public meeting page. Until then, votes are visible only to staff, admins, and super admins.
